BicycleAttorney.com earned the top spot in this week’s Bowen Brewery Battle at the Heron Lakes Cross Crusade race at Portland International Raceway, followed closely by the Deschutes Brewery Cyclocross Team. Team Lazy Tarantulas rounds out the top three.

Boneyard Cycling came out with a bang, and leads Bowen’s Brewery Battle by 12 points after 15 Boneyard racers placed in the top ten during last weekend’s Cross Crusade races 1 and 2 at Alpenrose Dairy. Deschutes Brewery is in second place, and BeerMongers Cycle Club is in third.
We are excited to be teaming up with Deschutes Brewery to present a battle for brewery-sponsored teams participating in Oregon’s Cross Crusade Series this fall. Bowen’s Brewery Battle will award the coveted Bowen Brewery Trophy to the winning team at the end of the Cross Crusade Series, which may then be fitted with their brewery’s tap handle and name engraved on the champion’s plaque. This rotating trophy will be claimed for one year, until the conclusion of the following year’s Cross Crusade Series. More details.
Have your first couple of early-season cyclocross races been a little, um, rough? You still have three chances to get valuable technical assessment and training from a US Cycling Champion and Former ‘Cross Pro. In our Weekly Cyclocross Clinics, Bart will help you be more efficient, go faster, look better and have more fun while racing your cyclocross bike. Techniques he’ll work on with you include: dismounting and remounting properly, carrying the bike, crossing barriers, run-ups, off-camber riding, tight turns and more. Clinics meet on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Deschutes Brewery at 901 SW Simpson Avenue. Remaining dates are September 8, 15, and 22. Cost is $20 per clinic. Sign up here.
Kick off your cyclocross season with a bang! Our Weekend Cyclocross Camp is a great way for beginners to get an introduction to the addictive sport of cyclocross as well as help intermediate riders hone their ‘cross specific skills. World champion cyclist Marianne Berglund, who is also a two-time Olympian and 10-time Swedish National Champion, is the newest member of the Bowen Sports Performance team of coaches and trainers.
