A la Carte Services:

A selection of discrete, boutique services that can be ordered up as you please.  If you know what you need right now, and don’t want to deal with the hassle of repeated visits, feel free to schedule one of the following visits below.  If you’re still not sure about what you need, don’t forget that I offer a free 30-minute hands-off consultation with each new client.

All service orders cost $120 for a full one-hour session with Dr. North.

  • Physical Therapy Examination/Evaluation:  If you’ve got an injury, disability, or condition that you’d like to look into, but you’re not ready to commit to an entire Service Package yet, then feel free to book a single Examination visit to get some answers and test the waters towards a treatment plan.  If you find your Examination to be a valuable experience, and wish to continue with a Service Package, then the cost of your Examination can be applied toward your package cost.
  • Gait Analysis:  Whether you want to tune-up your running mechanics, or you have difficulty walking normally for whatever reason, this service entails a detailed video assessment of your current mechanics, an assessment of potential problems, and recommendations on solutions to remediate or compensate for your particular issue.  Like the Physical Therapy Examination, the cost of your Gait Analysis can be applied towards a Service Package if you wish to continue with treatment services.
  • Annual Check-Up:  A bird’s-eye yearly assessment to screen for issues that may need to be addressed with future visits.  The Check-Up includes a posture screen, a gross musculoskeletal and neuromuscular screen, a functional movement screen, a cardiovascular screen, and a wellness dialogue.  As the name suggests, it’s good to schedule this Check-Up once per year.
  • Massage: Whether you need firm sports massage to help you prepare for an upcoming event, or a cleansing post-event rub to clear your tissues of metabolites and cellular debris.  Maybe you need a deep, percussive massage to take care of pesky trigger points, or some very specific deep-tissue release for chronic tension, or just a relaxing shiatsu at the end of a long work week.  Book an hour with Dr. North in a private room to get what you need out of the experience, just let him know.  Aromatherapy, mood-lighting, and your choice of music are also options to help you relax.
  • Joint Mobilization and Manipulation:  Sometimes stiff joints need extra attention to get back into working order.  Prior injuries/surgeries can lay down scar tissue, osteoarthritis can bring joint swelling and joint capsule tension, and adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) can cause years of disability if left untreated.  That’s not even mentioning how good it feels to have the occasional spinal cavitation (pop).  You’re in good hands on Dr. North’s table with targeted hands-on treatment and mobility exercise.
  • Body Composition Analysis:  For the athlete or competitor needing an accurate assessment of lean body mass and body fat percentage, this analysis uses skinfold measurements, body circumference measurements, and body mass index to assess your current composition and help to determine future training and nutrition habits.
  • Muscle Dynamometry Testing:  The ultimate assessment for teasing out individual muscle asymmetries and inadequacies.  This test utilizes repeated objective force measurements of every major muscle or muscle group throughout the body to record your strengths, find your weaknesses, and help direct which exercises you need to improve.
